On 03/11/2021 at 18:17 Cayuga Heights Fire Department was dispatched to lines down on Hanshaw road and Forest Drive. CHFD Engine 3, Chief 1, Rescue 1, Utility 2, and Utility 4 responded. The roads around the incident were closed, and NYSEG was called. Due to the weight of the tree and the multiple power lines that it lay on, specalist equipment was required. CHFD and CHPD were on scene for over 5 hours. We thank the residents of Cayuga Heights for dealing with the number of roads closed for extended periods, and our members for giving up a combined 100 man-hours for the call. All CHFD units clear and back in service 23:30.
